Diner Style Strawberry Pie!

This strawberry pie is the perfect, easy, quick dessert to throw together. A slice of Americana that is reminiscent of diner days gone by. I think this strawberry sweetness is something we need to bring back!

Here's what you need to do (links to ingredients on Amazon below):

(Makes one pie) 1 nine inch pie shell, baked

1 cup sugar

2 Tbs cornstarch

1 cup cold water

1 regular sized package Strawberry gelatin

2 pints strawberries, washed and sliced

Mix sugar and cornstarch, then add water. Cook until thickens. Add strawberry gelatin. Let cool and add fresh strawberries. Pour into pie shell. Place in refrigerator covered. Serve with cool whip or fresh whipped cream. May be prepared up to 8 hours ahead.
